| Goal and Objectives
CAPF's goal is to promote stable, vibrant and accountable political parties in Kenya. CAPF hopes to contribute to this goal by implementing the following objectives:- - to monitor and evaluate the implementation of laws and policies on party financing;
- to educate the key players and the public about the dangers of corrupt political party financing and the benefits of transparent and accountable political party financing;
- to advocate and lobby for legislative and policy reforms on accountable and transparent political financing.
CAPF's strategic objectives are as follows: - to influence legislators to enact effective political (party) financing laws.
- to lobby political party chief executives to adopt and use acceptable financial management systems and practice.
- to create awareness on the significance of accountable political party financing targeting members of the public and decision makers.
- monitoring parties on their compliance with ethical fundraising and utilization of funds;
CAPF strategic objectives are undertaken in the following platforms: - advocating for the implementation of party management and financing regulation,
- organizing workshops for political parties, members of parliament and civil society organizations to discuss the problem of political party finance; and advocate for ethical fundraising and utilization of party finances,
- educate and prepare political parties to operate under the political party Act,
- train political parties on ethical resource mobilization and utilization methods,
- sensitize the public on the virtues of clean political party financing, and the ills of corrupt political party financing,
- empower the minorities to participate in political party affairs, and
- facilitate the enforcement and observance of political parties' regulation through monitoring, reporting and whistle blowing activities etc.
